The Brave House Book Club

We are officially launching our Brave House Book Club! It is open to all of our members, mentors and volunteers. We will meet virtually every month to have a group discussion on the chosen book for that particular month. We have selected 12 autobiographical books that each tell the story of a different political activist in history. These activists cover a wide spectrum of different races, ethnicities, genders, religions, LGBTQIA+, etc. There is a specific focus on activists that fought and advocated for women’s rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, racial justice, mental health awareness, sexual assault, climate change and legal advocacy. Our goal is to highlight underrepresented voices in history that demanded change and significantly shaped the world for the better. We hope that our members will not only relate to the different activists and their real stories on a deeper level, but also be inspired as well.
