The Brave Pod: Conversations with Our Community
Picture
We support young immigrant women (ages 16-24) in New York City by providing free legal and holistic services, mentorship, and community events including art class, career coaching, meditation, dance, finance workshops and more.

In May 2020, we launched
The Brave Pod, a podcast that features visionaries in our community who are dreaming big and making an impact. Each week, we explore themes of identity, bravery, mental health and radical self-love. We seek to amplify the voices of immigrants, women, and people of color and we interview a range of amazing people, including Brave House members, advisors, mentors & other supporters of our mission.

Tune in every Friday at 12pm EST on
Instagram LIVE, where you can join the conversation and watch episodes hosted by the Brave House's very own Ketia Jeune!

Spotlight from the Brave Pod
Check out this inspiring Brave Pod episode with Sadé Hooks, a NYC-based creator, jewelry-maker & mentor at the Brave House. Sadé shares her story with us and offers wisdom about the importance of never settling. "We are not on this earth to live a life that does not fulfill us."

Ketia Honored @ Youth Voice Awards
Danney has spent the past 6 months helping review her mentee's law school applications and discussing her mentee's career goals and aspirations. As a legal advocate and an immigrant herself, Danney has provided invaluable advice and guidance to her mentee. Danney shared with us, "I arrived in this country when I was 13 from Peru. I didn't know how the system worked nor did my family. We didn't know English either so we had to figure things out on our own or with the help of a lot of different people. During college, I was fortunate to have had the most incredible mentors to guide me and help me achieve my goals."
The Brave House's very own Ketia received a 2020 Youth Voice Award in recognition of her work with the Brave House! Ketia is the founder and host of our podcast "The Brave Pod" where we strive to spark conversations about identity, immigration, race, gender, mental health, joy, and much more.

Every Friday at 12pm you can tune into our Instagram via IG Live to hear Ketia connect with members of our community!

TWO SPECIAL EPISODES TOMORROW!
