Thank you so much to everyone who joined us, to Chelsea for facilitating, and to the team at the Immigrant Student Success Office for warmly hosting us.

Our community gathered for a self-care day. We painted each other's nails, practiced yoga and stretching, colored fun winter scenes, did clay face masks & skin care, created essential oil mist sprays, & made strawberry-banana smoothies. It was an important reminder to pause and take care of ourselves in the winter season, especially as we approach the holidays.
Thank you to all our members who joined for a beautiful and relaxing day together and to The Bija Project for welcoming us into your space!

Breathe and Connect.
March - June 2020
These difficult times have shown us the power of community. We’ve been holding a weekly space for our members to discuss the challenges, lessons, and grace that has come from the situation we are now in. Together we’ve been reflecting on some big questions: What’s tough right now? What's working for you? And how can we all find peace in this? We are so grateful to our mindfulness teacher and beautiful soul Camila Diaz Samper and BREATHE International for leading us through these conversations and teaching us tools that we can use in our daily lives to stay calm and connected.

It was so powerful to look around the room and see women of all ages & backgrounds connecting and holding space for each other. Thank you to Koia, GT's Kombucha, and Emmy's Organics Inc. for healthy treats, to Novotel New York Times Square for the robes and slippers, to The Bija Project for being our second home, to Malka for your organizing magic, to Lexie Lowell for your soothing tunes and to all the beautiful, warm souls who gave their time and heart yesterday to co-creating this transformational space.
